Sounds like an oxymoron, but it's perfectly possible. When we say Steve goes deep into FCPX this week, we mean it! He discovers embedded apps, one of which will burn DVDs all day long.
We are just trying to remember in the FCP.co office the last time we had to burn a DVD. It must be well over 12 months ago. However, for some sectors of the industry, they remain a vital way to get a 'screener' to a client without using an online video hosting service such as YouTube or Vimeo.
FCPX has the share to DVD function, but how about using a simpler way to burn a DVD without having to boot the app up? In this week's episode of MacBreak Studio, Steve Martin shows Mark Spencer how an embedded app within the FCPX application itself can do all the hard work.
With the large caveat of digging around within the package contents of an app can do damage, the Create Disc app within FCPX looks a very quick and easy way to churn out DVDs whilst FCPX can get on with more creative tasks.
