Just in:  **Apple to present at the first FCP eXchange**

FCPWORKS and FCP.co are proud to announce the first in a set of workshops aimed at the Final Cut Pro X editor. The first one is in October in Los Angeles, so sign up now!

Following on from the recent FCP EXPO in Amsterdam, FCPWORKS decided that the FCPX community needed a more regular meet up than just at the two annual trade shows.

So FCP eXchange was born and we are very proud to be partnering with FCPWORKS to get the FCPX community more involved and share workflow practices, tips, tricks and the odd anecdote thrown in too.

The first free event will happen at AbelCine in Los Angeles on Saturday 24th of October from 11am to 4pm. Although it is free, space will be limited, so make sure of your place by registering on the FCP eXchange site.

Sam Mestman describing the Focus workflow at the recent FCP EXPO in Amsterdam during IBC 2015.

“We’ve had a great time putting together our workflow and case study events in Los Angeles as well as at NAB and most recently IBC with FCP EXPO,” says Sam Mestman, FCPWORKS’ Chief Workflow Architect. “FCP eXchange seemed like a natural opportunity to continue that outreach with a regular series in Los Angeles.

There’s still an ongoing perception that Final Cut Pro X isn’t suitable for features, documentaries and other large-scale projects. We’ve been chipping away at that myth for years now. This is another chance to demonstrate what’s been accomplished so far with completed projects like “Focus" and the recent A&E documentary, "O.J. Speaks: The Hidden Tapes" and what’s still to come."

We’re also excited to collaborate with FCP.co We’ve worked together on breaking a lot of different workflows and case studies for a while now. Moving that connection forward into live events, where we can share our experiences with fellow filmmakers and professionals feels like the next logical step. These are still relatively early days for Final Cut Pro X and we’re all very excited to tell the next chapters of this evolving story. It’s going to be a blast.
