If you are in London at the BVE show on Wednesday, make sure you meet up with fellow FCPX editors on the Softron stand E25 at 4pm. There's beers to be drunk!
We are off to the BVE Expo on Wednesday 25th February 2015 at the Excel Centre in London's docklands. After a few discussions we thought it would be a good idea to arrange a meetup whilst the show was on.
The meeting place will be on or very near the Softron stand E25 which is in the bottom left quadrant of the show looking at the floorpan. Softron have also very kindly said they will be supplying beers at 4pm on a first come, first served basis.
Whilst you are there, make sure you check out Softron's MovieRecorder 3 which gives editors instant access to media without having to wait for a file to finish recording. M80 is a pretty impressive capture device that can record 8 HD channels when attached to a Mac Pro with Thunderbolt. All clever stuff and especially interesting if you work in news, sports or transmission.
We have a few attendees that have confirmed they will be there. Alex Gollner will be there in his red shirt, along with 5 of his London group of FCPX editors. Philip Johnston from the website HDWarrior will also be there, he just might bring his shiny new Sony FS7 too.
We honestly have no idea how many people will attend, but hopefully the event will provide a focus (erhem) for us like-minded Final Cut Pro X people to meet up and chat.
If you are going to attend, please say you are coming with a comment below or tweet with the #FCPX & #BVE hashtags. It will also help get the word out.
Look forward to seeing you there!
