Larry Jordan held an event on the 14th of January entitled '4K and Final Cut Pro X' We have posted all the videos Larry has published so far, one is not to be missed!
OK, so there is some good news and bad news. The bad news is that from the videos we have watched, there isn't a great mention of using 4K with Final Cut Pro X. The good news is that there is one cracking half hour video featuring Ian Andes from G-Technology. (We of course know that Philip Hodgetts always presents well, no matter where or when!) We should also get a plug in for Larry's FCPX training courses as he has very kindly published these videos for free, hopefully there are more to come.
back to the guests and Ian is very honest when he describes his company's drives compared to other manufacturers. Lots of great information that is targeted directly at video editors and content creators.
Did you know?
A SSD drive capacity will decrease the more you use it?
Is it best to turn off a drive at night or leave it running?
What happens to a drive when you leave it unpowered for a long time.?
All are covered in Larry's conversation with Ian, we watched the whole half hour without stopping.
Also on the bill was Philip Hodgetts from Intelligent Assistance talking about metadata (He is Mr Metadata!)
Last in the series (Hopefully there are some real 4K & FCPX demos to come) was Tim Jones from The Tollis Group who talked about archiving.
