Made these while trying to make FCPX effects in Motion. Hope someone enjoys them :cheer:

This effect has motion, so the speed is determined by the length of the clip.

Hope I won't get 7 years bad luck for installing this.

Is the Broken Mirror effect the one they're now using on the bumpers for SNL? They have a way of sliding the off kilter segments together aligning things once again. It's a nice effect.

Thanks for sharing.

Don't think this is the SNL version. I've never used or shared it before. I saw an opening to a TV series where they had an effects like this.

The problem with this one is that the length of the clip determines the speed og the effect.

Ok, thanks for responding. I've commented here before on the SNL effect, nobody's ever offered a solution, nor have I seen that effect anywhere else. It's a bit like a kaleidoscope but more prismatic, the logo is fractured as the center of the effect on the edge of a larger video image, then the mirrors align, the logo comes back together. It's similar to your broken mirror in that the image is just segmented but with no change in color nor distortion. Curious how they do it.
