Hey guys, I know there's a Macbreak Studio Tutorial about archiving to save space without losing anything you need on 10.0, but I'm looking for a new tutorial on how to archive efficiently in 10.1. The process is made very different by the library system.

Someone posted this video about auto backups of your work, but I'm confused about what it actually backs up. more info on that would be good too.

The auto-backup saves only the database portion of your Library. In other words, it saves the information about what clips you have in your Library, what Events you have, what Projects you have, and all of the edits that you’ve done in your Projects. It does not save your media.

The auto-backup is there for you to jump back in time to a previous version of your Library. Since the auto-backup does not save the media, you would need to restore the media in case you took this backed up Library file to another system.
