Hey all -

Having sone weird issues in 10.4.6 running on Mojave (freshly upgraded) and attached to a Lumaforge Jellyfish shared storage set up.

1. I bring in clips shot on a Canon XC15 (MXF) and everything is working fine. However, when I try to move clips to another event, the clips turn black with no audio.

2. I download music from a stock music house (AIFF) and they play fine straight off the Jellyfish partition. I go to import them into FCPX and they play fine in the import window. After import the track may play fine once or twice and then the audio "goes away" and won't play.

Anyone seen anything like this? Frustrated the hell out of me and my students. Thanks in advance.

Scott

Run through the basics first.
1- Verify your system drive has more than 20% of its total capacity left as free space.
2- Be sure in Preferences that Background Rendering is turned OFF.
3 - Via the File menu, delete all render files for that Library.
4- Quit FCPX, re-launch while holding both Option and Command keys dow, delete preference files.

Also, when you bring those clips into FCPX, check the background process window, see if it's generating thumbnails or something at that moment.
