I apologize if this has been addressed but I cannot find it using search or G.

This comes up every once in a while and I keep hoping apple makes it easier to re-attach audio to a clip. Have they? If so how?

If there is another work around, please share. In my current situation, I was supplied clips with an audio delay of almost 5 fps. I had to manually detach the audio and modify the clip. Then I had to make a compound clip, but interestingly, it would go back out of sync unless I added 5 frames of scratch audio at the beginning and re-collapsed the compound clip. But when I try to L cut or J cut, I cannot do it with the compound clip. Am I missing something? If I could just reattach the audio and video, it would make my life so much easier. I find it hard too believe that Apple has not fixed this yet, so hopefully they have and someone will help me figure it out. :)

Anyone?

Select the clip in the Browser.
Go to the Clip menu, choose Open Clip.
Adjust audio to be in sync there.

Then whenever you use this clip it will be in sync.
