“… Apple’s Reality Composer app gives you an intuitive interface for constructing 3D compositions and augmented reality (AR) experiences. You combine 3D models, audio, and other assets—along with a description of how these objects behave—into a file that you add to your RealityKit-enabled app. …”
On first sight some fancy AR/iOS device Schnickschnack, but, viewed with my eyes of total ignorance, an awesome extension for … Motion.
It starts with some familiar nomenclature … you can add materials (car paint!)…
… and add the objects Behaviors (!!) …
You are allowed to import and 3rd party 3D-objects (!!!)….
Finally, you can stick the objects to planes, images or faces = smart-tracking (!!!!!)
Pure speculation, zero insight - but making Motion an RK-enabled app would be a game changer … at last for me, less for motionVFX nor Coremelt….
Yeah, I saw that in the keynote presentation and have hopes that technology come to Motion and FCPX. But, this sort of technology has never made it to Motion in the past. Motion is the single most stagnant app ever. When was the last time something significant was added to it by Apple? A single new behavior is not significant.
