Hey all -

In the final months of a documentary edit that is using a ton of old newspaper articles and old pictures. I am using a lot of Ken burns moves and then freezing the last frame to hold on the shot. I would like to put a slight blur around the edge of the move and the still. BUT, since the move uses the part of the entire image and the still is not, the same blur effect tends to "pop" over to different spots on each. How to do this without the blur moving? Do I need to put them all in a compound clip and add the blur to that? Thanks in advance.

I think a compound clip is your best option or use an adjustment layer with a blur vignette on it.

Best of luck!

Looks like the adjustment layer will be the way to go. Thanks for the help!

Open the still in its own timeline, apply the blur, then add to your project timeline & do whatever. Just thinking out loud.

Seems maybe holding on the last frame of the move (Shift H) instead of creating a still frame should keep it from 'popping'.
