First step: import Panasonic P2 AVCintra100 into FCPX Library/event. (see enclosed Library partial screen copy)
Step 2: select a clip and move it to the timeline ; result is no sound! :(
Step 3: must also select the four soundtracks that were not linked to to each video and drag them into the timeline.

Question: am I to "option-G" every set of 50 video clips with their mating 200 soundtrack before I start editing, which would be very very tedious for this small project? Larger one would for sure drive me nuts...

Finally found a turnaround: preferences were corrupted, application crashed when trying to import another MXF. Restarted FCPX while holding Opt&Cmd. Had to redifine my project, but at least now audio is embedded in the clips!
