This is probably really trivial, but recently when I purposely quit FCPX with Command+Q, and the program closes, I get a pop-up to say "FCPX Quit unexpectedly" Ignore/Report/Restart.

Anyone else seen this?

It's not unexpected. You pressed Command + Q so even FCPX and macOS should expect it. It's funny that macOS is giving you the alert that basically says "I can't believe I just accomplished the task you requested of me".

As to why you're getting that prompt? No idea but at least it's quitting and not beach-balling or something. You might try these 14 easy steps: Buy a new computer, erase it, do a clean install of macOS, erase that, boot up your old computer, go run the water in the sink in your second bathroom (very important that its not your main one), go to the bar (or pub), order a piña colada, drink it, come back home, reboot the old computer again, throw the new computer in the trash, turn off the water in your bathroom sink, delete Final Cut Pro's preferences on the old computer and see if that helps. Steps 1-13 are optional.

No, I'm not drunk.

I'd not sweat it. I have several apps that do this occasionally. It is the app going through proper shut down processes (saving work, etc) and crashing during those processes. Unless you've lost work, I'd ignore it. But if you do lose work, I'd hit the feedback page.

Funny you should suggest these. They are EXACTLY what I tried straight after making my post.
