Hi Forum,

Just to check on :

FCPX 10.4.4 Batch share multiple clips with Selection Ranges:

1.Does it batch share multiple clips with persistent range selections from FCPX the browser or the time-line?

2. During batch share, what happens to the metadata, eg. Keywords, favourites all tagging do they carry over/preserved?

FYI, I've not tested it yet, since I'm in the middle of project using 10.4/Sierra and waiting to upgrade 10.4.4/Mojavi soon.

Many thanks for the support,

1. Not sure what you mean by this. Are you exporting more than one version of just a range in a timeline? As long as the range is selected, yes, that's all that exports.

2. Yes, if you specified it in the export window, they all get that.

Have you actually tested this yourself yet? Are you finding an issue with it?

Ben,

For further clarification:

1. Batch share multiple clips with persistent range selection either from the browser or timeline after keywords/smart collection, and various metadata applied,

2. Can you export the media after doing color correction, slow motion, ect?, if this function does not carry over edits. is there a work-around to this?

No I have not tested it yet since waiting to upgrade from 10.4/Sierra to 10.4.4/Mojavi

Many Thanks,

That's great! Many thanks for confirming that.

I think batch sharing feature in FCPX more sliker than FCP 7 and has much potential to become an essential tool, superseding the XML base plugins around.
