The Most Stupid Question of 2018? 22 Oct 2018 08:14 #97473

Guys,

So sorry for the inane question but I cannot find the answer anywhere. I am using FCPX for closed captions and it's excellent... but many videos on social media are viewed with the sound off, so I want to add captions that can be permanently seen on video. All social media videos posted these days have permanent captions on the bottom of the vid.

Is there an option, or a method by which I can do this? The settings I currently have produce a video that only shows the captions if the "CC" function is selected on the video.

Thank you!

Phil x

You will need to create Open Captions ("burned-in" titles). You can convert your closed captions to titles using this tool:

Caption Burner is a plugin for Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Motion that lets you burn captions and subtitles into your video.
