Greetings!

Anyone knows of a smaller Logitech mouse that has both horizontal scrolling and a "soft" scroll button (without the indents). I'm using an M505 right now and it just died. Right size and H scroll, but has the indents on the wheel. There are several that have the soft scroll button, but they don't do horizontal scroll on the Mac. Not looking to go much bigger than the M505. Use for FCPX, Logic, etc. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Magic Trackpad!
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but I just had to say it.

Hi,
I use a graphic tablet and I would never go back to a mouse.

If you really want a mouse, and not a wireless mouse, the standard Apple mouse is pretty small and has a small scroll ball on top that scrolls horizontally and vertically. Plugs in USB in the keyboard if your KB has ports.

I love the logitech MX Anywhere mouse. It may be smaller than what you are looking for (although that's one of the reasons I like it). It has forward/back buttons on the left and the scroll wheel can switch between soft scroll and scroll with indents (pushing the wheel down changes the behavior). There is also a programmable button behind the wheel. And the wheel gives you horizontal scrolling by pushing it left or right. The newer versions of the mouse let you connect via the logitech dongle or bluetooth and can remember 3 different computers.

my suggestion would be either the Apple Magic Mouse or trackpad controlled by Better Touch Tool software

or a cheap ergo mouse made by Anker on Amazon, cost me £12 it has 5 buttons and scroll wheel and controlled by Steer mouse driver from plentycom software... this driver allows for button chording so I have extra commands programmed when I press a combination of 2 buttons together.

Thanks for all of your suggestions!

The Logitech MX is exactly what I'm look for. While I love the Magic Trackpad option for working from home, oftentimes I only have the narrow arm of a leather chair to work from, which is why I prefer the smaller mouse option...
