How to "reimport" iXML data? 04 Apr 2018 17:48 #94975

Hello, fellow editors!
I had an assistant organize a project for me, but he didn't check the iXML track names checkbox when importing the audio files. He's already created a ton of multicam clips and I didn't want to lose what he's already done, but I really need the audio track data when it comes to sending the AAF to the audio department later on.
Is there any way to "reimport" those files with the iXML info or will I have to redo everything?

For now, my approach would be to sort all the audios without the iXML information in a new event, import all of those files again and replace the files inside the multicam clips. Would you give me any advice if you think there's any easier way?

Thanks!

Nope, that's about it. Unless your some sort of XML wizard and have a lot of time on your hands.

If the track assignment is consistent you can just rename the subroles in the Roles editor. Dialogue-1 becomes BOOM 1 and so fort.
