I have just got my rig set up to do 3D video editing.

Mac Pro 3,1 8TB, 32GB Ram, GTX770, 3x24" Monitors, 1 3D monitor. El Capitan FCPX 10.2 Dashwood Studios 3Dtoolbox.

So far 3D editing is very nice and easy to do.

Now my system wants me to update to High Sierra and 10.4.

I set up a spare machine with 10.4 to see if the stereoscopic video editing in it works. As far as I can tell there is no function to edit the Convergence or any of the stuff in 10.2.

Is anyone doing 3D editing and is there a way to get 10.4 to work.

Apple has got me stuck, either I can't update or I have to change edit suites.

Any help would be appreciated, it took a long time to get what I want set up it would be great to keep using it.

What’s the Convergence?

Think about going crosseyed.

Convergence is how your eyes and cameras can capture closer details. In the best rigs the cameras have to swivel like your eyes when moving in to get a closer shot.

Dashwood 3D has the ability to compensate in editing. Even though Tim Dashwood helped update FCPX to 10.4 some off his best tools are not in 10.4.
