Hi -

I'm working on giving an old project a refresh, and I've hit a snag with relinking some audio.

The original version of the project was cut in FCP7. I created an XML file from that, converted it using SendtoX, and started relinking all of my media. Almost everything relinked - all of the footage, all of the graphics and animation, and all of the audio - except the main voiceover track that carries the story. Every time I try to relink that file, I get a nastygram from FCPX telling me that the file is not the correct length and cannot be imported, even though the file is exactly the same as it has always been, and hasn't been touched.

Any ideas on how to fix/work around this?

Thanks!

Aaron

I’ve had periodic issues with FCPX in general in regard to length. The best that I could figure is it was a result of a few frames dropped at the end of the export.

The way I got around this was to and a 1 Second slug/gap at the end of the clip. I’m pretty sure it will work with audio if you insert some silence at the end of the file.
