Hey!

Was using a font in a title in FCPX... was gonna make an image in Affinity Photo, but couldn't find it!
Is there fonts included in FCPX that are only available in FCPX???

The font is not in either the system or user Library/Fonts folders!

There are some fonts in the application bundle. You could try copying them out of there and adding them to Fonts. Do know what that will do going forward.

If I open the FCPX package there's a FOnts folder in Resource, but it only contains one font... Are they hidden somewhere else?

I thought there was more than that. What's the font you're missing?

Hi,

Apple has moved the embedded fonts around a bit...

I have attached a spreadsheet with two lists (in case someone needs to grab the text itself), showing all the embedded fonts in Motion and FCP X (latest versions). The embedded fonts are nearly the same for both applications.

It's pretty straightforward to copy the font files to a new location (don't move them) and then create a new "group" in Font Book or import them into another font management application.

Hope this helps...

Welcome Davis to fop.co :)

… sorry for patronizing you off from the start, but a) no attachments to see = you can only attach a few formats of files here @fcpco => zip it before attaching, and b) a proprietary calc-format for a list of words, c'mon? How about txt or pdf? ;)

… thanks for that list, anyhow …!

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, it is my first post and I couldn't quite figure out how to make the attachment feature work. Even worse, with my post being moderated, I wasn't able to view the post after submitting it (for any required changes/edits).

The data in the spreadsheet includes several columns of Finder-like info, including the full path to each font file, which takes up quite a bit of space. I did try to upload both an EXCEL and ODS file of the spreadsheet. I have added a PDF to those.

Ciao.
