So I do corporate videography as a contractor for a healthcare organization in California. The business is just me, I do all the shooting, editing and final deliveries. My new contract requires business insurance and I'm having a hard time finding a reputable insurance company that deals with this line of work. Any suggestions? Anyone you are using that you would recommend? Thanks!

I just went to a broker and had them find me the best deal. I'm located in Canada. They put me through Premier Insurance. Not sure if they are US based as well.

I'm pretty much doing what you do. I've been with Hartford for years. Slightly pricey but they really came through and quickly on a couple of loses that I had over my 37 year career. I also have their workers comp insurance. All said about 3200.00USD per year. This also covers your equipment, which you will need to make an inventory list and dollar amount of your stuff.

I'm always asked to present a certificate of insurance when I shoot off site as well.

Find a reputable agent in your area.

Good luck.
