I'm about to purchase 'iZotope RX6 Standard' Plug-in for FCPX. I seem to remember there were issues with some of the plugin's in the suite. Have these been resolved and has RX6 introduced any (more) issues?

Regards,

Sting.

I have iZotope RX6 Advanced and I have not experienced any issues with the standalone app or the plugins in FCPX yet. It's still a relatively new release so perhaps somethings may turn up. Overall, iZotope RX6 (and RX 5 before) does a good job - however because the effects can be resource intensive, I generally either preview the plugin effects to see if they achieve what I want then I disable them while I continue editing and re-enable them just prior to exporting a project. Alternatively, I often process the audio files first in the standalone app then export the result and import that into FCPX - so no plugins needed then.

Some plugins may go silent on the last half second of audio. One workaround is to extend the audio for half a second. You can use the RX Connect plugin to send to the RX Editor and round trip.

I had the issue with 5 Standard and just upgraded to 6 Advanced. I haven't check all the plugins in 6 yet but someone else mentioned the issues with 5 are still there with 6. One change is that even their plugin pack, now called elements, has the stand alone editor so you can roundtrip if need be. I have found extending the audio a quick fix though.

thank you for your replies.. I obviously was hoping the audio silence issue would be resolved (main reason for posting) but looks to be not much of an issue for most as the workarounds look quick and straightforward. Thanks again.
