With all the news about FCPX, we had forgotten about the Canon 5D and expensive lenses currently in the cupboard here on the campus. Maybe our glass will have a second life as Philip Bloom shows us this prototype Birger adaptor.

Philip Bloom has got his hands on a prototype adaptor from Birger Engineering for converting Canon L lenses to work on a Panasonic AF101. The Canon lenses don't have a manual aperture ring which means the only way it can be set is by putting it on an Eos camera first. This adaptor not only lets you set the aperture remotely, but gives a pretty smooth follow focus control as well. Like Philip, we adore our 50mm 1.2 too.
